About the Book: Environmental Studies This book is written in accordance with the syllabus framed by the university grants commission for the course Environmental studies. This book is meant for all the undergraduates of engineering, science, management, law, humanities and students preparing for various competitive examinations. The book makes a holistic approach to the subject for easy and logical comprehension. The book has been divided into eight chapters including one on practical study. Each chapter has been so designed that students can grasp the related topic with ease. About the Author Ritu Bir did her postgraduate in environment science in 2003 and received an award for significant work in environment in the same year. Later she completed her M.Phil. in environment science. Since then she has been teaching in various engineering colleges of repute like Manav Rachna Education Institution, Galgotias College of Technology and Management. Presently she is working as senior faculty in Delhi College of Technology and Management.
